There is a number of external scholarships and fellowships available for undergraduate and graduate students interested in experiencing field archaeology first-hand. We encourage all participants to spend some time investigating such options. Here are a three examples of field school scholarships you can apply for:
CAMWS Excavation/Field School Award
Jane C. Waldbaum Archaeological Field School Scholarship
John R. Coleman Traveling Fellowship
Swedish and other international students, when ineligible for AIA fellowships, are encouraged to seek out local funding opportunities. There exists a number of local scholarships and fellowships allowing undergraduate and graduate students, as well as professionals, to pursue short-term humanities projects abroad. We suggest you spend some time exploring such options, for example:
Fredrika Bremer Förbundets Stipendiestiftelse
Stiftelsen Lars Hiertas Minne
We happily assist participants with supporting documentation when needed.
