There is a number of external scholarships and fellowships available for undergraduate and graduate students interested in experiencing field archaeology first-hand. Swedish and other international students, when ineligible for AIA fellowships, are encouraged to seek out local funding opportunities. There exists a number of local scholarships and fellowships allowing undergraduate and graduate students, as well as professionals, to pursue short-term humanities projects abroad.
